My 4 Fave Drugstore Foundations

Hi guys,

As you all know i’m a huge fan of the affordable makeup brands when it comes to Foundation! I think the likes of Rimmel and L’Oreal have really upped their game lately which I love to see, the more competition the better for us!

With college starting back there’s never been a better time for drugstore foundations as let’s be honest, the majority of us can’t afford or don’t feel the need to wear the likes of MAC to college every day. As well as the price I also think they’re extremely thick and unnatural for daytime wear but I do love light, thin foundations.

Over the last few weeks i’ve been trying the newest and most recommended foundations,

so here are my 4 favourites:

4. Rimmel Wake Me Up

I was impressed with this because of it’s light texture, I barely felt like I was wearing make up which I love, I couldn’t think of anything worse than feeling like your face is covered in clay. Although it was thin and moisturising it still had good medium coverage which works for my skin. I wear shade True Nude – 303

3. Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude

I actually came across this one when I was stocking up on my usual L’Oreal True match, The woman in the chemist recommended it to me so I gave it a try as I was looking for a darker foundation after Holidays. I was looking for a more yellow shade rather than pink and this is perfect for that. I use this foundation on the darker parts of my face when contouring.

2. Rimmel Match Perfection

Only very recently, Rimmel has introduced a whole new Match Perfection. I love this foundation, it has so many natural shades to choose from so it matches skin tone perfectly. It has really good coverage but again is not too thick! I’m shade 404 – Natural beige

1.L’Oreal True Match

Anyone who knows me at all will know how obsessed I am with this foundation! I haven’t bought any of the branded foundation since I found it! I reviewed it here a few months ago!

Again, For me I love how it’s  thin and can be built up for more coverage as I love a very natural look during the day but maybe a bit more coverage for night-time. I also find it very long lasting as I barely ever top it up during the day and it’s usually still fairly in tact by the end of the day! I wear W3 Golden beige

L’Oreal have recently improved the foundation and it’s bottle so i had to try it, I’m still loving it! I think the new bottle’s simple and classy.

Hope this helps anyone looking to buy new Foundation!

Love Emma X
