Why travel?

This weeks post is going to focus on travelling. Why to travel and the benefits of travelling. If you have already caught the travel bug you’ll be nodding your head in agreement with me and if not, go catch it!! I’m telling you it is probably definitely the only bug you’ll want to catch.

There are endless benefits to travelling one of which is just being able to see new places and experience different cultures and ways of life. Here’s just three of may reasons why travelling is a great idea.

One: meet new people. I know that whenever I go to a different country I meet at least one new person (most of the time it is a lot more). The people you meet are always so weird and wonderful, a lot of them will have great stories to tell and have really interesting insights. There are two types of people you will meet while travelling; the locals and the people who are also on their travels. The locals are great for getting an insight to the countries culture. They also know all the best spots for food, draaanks, sightseeing. Then there are the fellow travellers. These people are also great as they’re on the same page as you, looking to discover new things, new experiences and have a good time.

Two: Eye opening experiences. You will probably have eye opening experiences no matter where you travel just because you’re discovering the different culture and way of life. However, some countries provide more eye opening experiences than others. Personally, the biggest eye-opener for me was when I went to South-East Asia in particular Cambodia. Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Asia with the majority of the population living on a just over a dollar a day which is why it was such a culture shock. Going to Cambodia made me aware of the extreme poverty some people live in and really made me appreciate how lucky I am to live in a developed country.

Three: An Adventure. No matter where you go, once you’re travelling it will always be an adventure and who doesn’t love an adventure? Travelling will always provide you with stories to tell, you will learn lifelong lessons and have one hell of an adventure.

Eyebrow Threading- Love Beauty Penneys

Growing up I never knew how important eyebrows would be. After A LOT of trial and error I think I can finally say that my eyebrows now are somewhat “on point”.  Quick heads up to anyone who has yet to start shaping their brows; leave it to a TRAINED PROFESSIONAL. I’m sure a lot of gals can relate to the looking back at old photos of soul destroying mortifying excuses for brows.. we’ve all been there.

So I’ve been looking for a good quality and wallet friendly place to get my brows done. Recently I found out that penneys on Henry Street have a little salon called Love Beauty. They do everything from gel nails to eyelash extensions to eyebrow threading and being penneys the prices are VERY affordable. So I decided to get my brows threaded seeing as it’s my favourite method (painful but worth it), it cost 7 euro (now that’s a bargain if I’ve ever known one). The service was brilliant. It’s a walk in salon so there’s no need to book an appointment. I waited in the Que for about 10 minutes until it was my turn, the whole process took about 20 minutes and was very easy and stress free.

I was over the moon with the results, they completely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this little salon. I can’t wait to try more of their services!

So here’s the result;
